The County is planning to construct all four lanes of this roadway from MD 5 westward across the county to MD 210. This will allow for traffic to cross the entire county from east to west to the south of Waldorf, and connect the Bryans Road area to Waldorf.

Signs are posted in Highgrove at the point where the new roadway will intersect Highgrove Drive within the neighborhood. 

This project has several phases.  Approval for Phases 5, 6, and 7 will occur at the same time.

• Phase 4A (St. Patrick’s Drive to within approx. 1,500 ft. of Middletown Rd.) COMPLETE
• Phase 4B (1,500 ft. from Middletown Rd. and to Smallwood Drive) COMPLETE
• Phase 5 (Rte. 229 to Middletown Road)
• Phase 6 (Mattawoman Creek to Rte. 229)
• Phase 7 (Rte. 210 to Mattawoman Creek)
